text-decoration: none;">]] </ins>در مجاورت <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">[[</ins>گنبد سرخ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">(مراغه)|گنبد سرخ]] واقع شده. تاریخ ساخت این بنا بر اساس کتیبه‌ای که در حاشیه درگاه ورودی با [[کوفی، خط|خط کوفی]] وجود دارد به سال ۵۶۳ هجری (</ins>دورۀ <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">[[</ins>سلجوقیان<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">]]) بازمی‌گردد</ins>. <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">نام این بنا یعنی «مدور» به ساختار استوانه‌ای </ins>شکل <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">آن اشاره دارد، هرچند </ins>که <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">زیربنای اصلی آن بر روی یک سکوی سنگی بلند </ins>و <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">چهارگوش استوار شده </ins>است. <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">بدنه اصلی برج تماماً از </ins>آجر <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">ساخته شده </ins>و <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">در قسمت‌های بالایی، با ظرافتی خاص از یک پلان مربعی به دوازده ضلع تغییر شکل یافته </ins>و در <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">نهایت به فرم دایره در سقف منتهی می‌شود. نمای بیرونی فاقد تزئینات افراطی است </ins>و <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">هنرمند معمار ترجیح داده است با استفاده از هنر آجرچینی </ins>و <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">ایجاد سایه‌روشن‌های هندسی در بدنه، به بنا روح ببخشد. این بنا از </ins>دو <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">طبقه مجزا تشکیل </ins>شده <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">است: سردابه </ins>که در <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">طبقه زیرین قرار دارد و محل اصلی تدفین بوده و اتاق فوقانی که احتمالا برای انجام مراسم مذهبی یا زیارت مورد استفاده قرار می‌گرفته است</ins>. <ins style="font-weight: bold;
